Anticoagulation Monitoring & Dosing (INR Clinic)

We can initiate and provide follow up for patients taking anticoagulants (eg warfarin or DOACs) and have 'point of care' INR testing so we can monitor and dose you in a 10minute appointment.

Our trained nursing team will provide you with all the information you need to optimise your treatment.

Asthma/COPD Clinics

Our specialist nurse practitioners can perform diagnostic tests such as spirometry at the surgery.

We have several members of the nursing team qualified in providing long-term care for patients with these respiratory conditions.

Asthma/COPD patients will be contacted at least annually for their reviews.

Baby Checks/ Postnatal Checks

We offer double appointments for baby and post-natal checks with a GP and a practice nurse. Although the baby check can take place at 6 weeks, we often try and time this with first vaccinations (which occur at 8 weeks) to avoid families having to come to multiple appointments. Of course if you have any problems prior to this, we would be happy to see you earlier.

We are also fortunate that our local Health Visitors also hold their clinics at the surgery.

Childhood Immunisations

We offer a comprehensive childhood vaccination programme. Childhood vaccinations can be booked with our experienced practice nurse team. Parents/Guardians will usually be contacted by letter when their vaccinations are due.

Diabetes

We have an Advanced Nurse Practitioner who has taken additional qualifications in Diabetes, who works closely with our practice nurse team to provide the most up to date care for those patients with diabetes. This includes initiation of injectable medications such as insulins, as well as oral diabetic medication & their monitoring.

All new diabetic patients are given a 40min appointment to ensure they have a personalised treatment plan, and they will be invited for regular reviews at 3/6/12 month intervals according to their needs.
